If you are going to build, demolish, renovate or repair a residential property you can apply for a Residential Building Permit online. Include the following required documents;

All roofing contractors are required to be licensed with the City of Great Bend and hold a State of Kansas Roofer Registration Certificate.

Submit an application for a contractor's license online. All individuals/companies putting themselves out as contractors in the City of Great Bend are required to be licensed and insured. Additional license requirements may apply. Please include the following required documents.

• Certificate of Insurance
• State of Kansas Roofer Certificate - this is required for all contractors that will be performing roofing work.
• Testing information. Class A General, Class B Building, Class C Residential, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Class D Roofing Unlimited and Class E Roofing Limited license types require proof of a passing exam score of 75% or better from Prometric or ICC.
• Trade Licenses require Certificates to be issued for the individual employees. Certificate applications can be found here. Master and Journeyman certificates require proof of test scores and continued education hours. (These applications and fees are not included in the license fee).
• List of all partners or corporation officers for the company.
